At one point, I used to drink while working out. When I needed to get through the day, I would put it in a sippy cup and head out the door. Click to jump to rest of the story.
Ok I'll be honest. I have an addiction to sweet tea. If I get even a single particle on my tongue, I can easily drink 2 gallons in a single seating. But I guess everyone has something they need to work on.
What do you want out of life? How do you want to feel? These are the questions we want each athlete we train to think about. Why are drinking? Is it to relax? To escape life or your feelings? I don't want to hear superficial answers about just wanting to be with friends at a bar.
Common responses about what you want at the gym- I want to lose weight and be skinny. I want lose weight. I want to tone up.
Why? Why? Why?
Seriously, I don't want to hear the knee jerk reaction, why do you want these goals?
Superficial goals don't last that long. Clients come in the gym for awhile and then fade. They get to there ideal weight and then go to the beach and fall off the lamb. (The lamb- is that what people say?)
At FIT Labs we're about finding your passion to move. To be active. To find your drive. To express the human. We program according to your functional goals. We don't want to hear how you want to be skinny, "big," "swole", whatever. Those are all by products, not the main goal at our facility.
We're starting a new foundation series at the gym where you can sign up on some of the events we're going to be at. This includes kettle bell competitions, powerlifting meets to running a 5k.
But if you take one thing away from this post remember: We don't care how you look. We only care about you feeling great and being happy.
