The Ice Harvest 2.0

The Ice Harvest 2.0

In history, innovation is the catalyst for the future.
While watching the talk by Guy Kawasaki, he mentioned the innovation in the ice business. At the turn of the twentieth century people were still harvesting ice from ponds and cutting 9 million pounds of ice for people throughout the US. Then came the innovation of the ice factory and then several decades later the freezer became available for each family.

The bottom line is this:
We're about to have of those jumps at FIT Labs. Two big announcements:

Starting Monday, we're having evening classes 5 nights a week. Now thisn't just to have crazy met-cons every night but it's meant to challenge you, to improve your entire fitness and physical ability.

What do we mean by that?
Throughout the week, you will be taught in a progressive manner to increase your abilities on lifts, technique, core stability and overall preparedness for life.

For example: If we're learning how to perform a skill or task, the movement pattern will be broken down throughout the week in skill portions, real life application (lifting real life odd objects), mobility and progressing towards core stability and proficient skills to perform a lift. One night will have a strong emphasis on strength and form, and later, adding video analysis for athletes and coaches. Along with the technical directions, the workout throughout the week will have a progression and the combined skills will be retested.

There has been an outcry for us to go to five nights a week so now we're challenging you to take the challenge. This gym is made by people that love to help you achieve your goals, and we're going to keep adapting to our client base as needed.

Yes, we're taking a break from mid morning classes, but we might eventually replace it with an early morning class based on the demand.

Second
We're living up to our mantra- We exist to bring a Holistic approach to Health and Wellness.

At FIT Labs and CrossFit Hagerstown we have a concept to bring several different types of experts in their fields together. Instead of having a fitness place that offered classes, like having different dishes on a menu, we offer you a instructor that is bringing their own business and ecosystem, as it were, to the facility.  We offer Yoga by Dawn, Adventure Parkour and Mad Dash 101.  Each teacher has their own course structure and are building their own brand of their expertise. But we all have one thing in common: making people get off the sofa and get active again.
In the coming weeks, all the programs will have a landing page so everyone can see all the different programs and we have our Mindbody scheduler that will link you to intros of all the different instructors.
Also, we have a licensed Athletic Trainer on staff that has a background in rehabilitation for college athletics and who is proficient in prehabilitation for high school and college athletes.

Profiles will be added of all the trainers in the next week.

That's all cool and everything, but when could we meet all the new trainers?
Today at 5 PM, we're having an open house! Drop by and see us and take a intro class from Christine, Greg or Dawn. Also we'll be showing off the building as well.  We're glad you have all stuck with us as we have grown up through the years.  Thank you very much, and we'll see you working out soon.

Side note: We're going to be about goal setting. Come in with a specific goal so we can see you progress.
