What is your end goal?

28

While watching the Norcal regionals yesterday I heard Jason Khalipa talk about his reason for working out and how he approaches the games.  To summarize he was saying do it because you love it, don't think about going to the games.  I love that he said that.

Although I love the CrossFit Games, cool to watch and really exciting live, when your at the gym don't always have your mind on it.  Enjoy the process when your learning new skills in the gym.  Also do not sacrifice a better time for poor body mechanics.  Yes when fatigue hits, our body does desire just to get the work done.  But we're also about maximum power output.  If you can't be effective, your wasting time and energy.  This was the case if you saw event 6 at Regionals this year.  Just because some athletes were going guns blazing for as long as they could, very rarely did that athlete win that event due to poor pacing and not timing at his rest breaks.

What is your end goal?  Are training for a certain event, race or overall fitness and wellness?  Let us know and we continue to focus on reaching those goals.  This strength and conditioning programming is about your own personal progression.
