What I think impressed me most about watching the Mid Atlantic Regionals over the weekend was the response of all the winners in the different divisions.  The interviewer kept asking them the same question to get a glimpse into their training like that would give a glimpse of their secret treasure.

And you know what the answer was time and time again?  "I'm going to go home and work on my weaknesses."  Mind blown.

Seriously.  I don't care who you follow, OPT, Outlaw, Bob from down the street.  If they are helping honestly address your weaknesses, don't give you praise all the time but teach you how work on your faults.  You're more than half way there.

Here at CrossFit Hagerstown and FIT Labs we're not trying to sugar coat the issue with your depth of squats or those half push ups you try to sneak in to finish the WOD in a faster time.  If you want to do that, sure be my guest.  But your doing yourself a disservice and cutting back all the time you could have spent getting better.  Just an example, wide grip push ups at half depth.  Why is this a cancer of a movement?  We'll go in depth with this later this week.

MB Push Ups (Target 15 reps, vary hand position each round)
Squats (Target 40-54)
Sit Ups in butterfly position (Target 25)
Plank Hold (Vary hand positions ea round)
Burpees (Target 15)


* if an athlete continues to do the rep with a improper ROM just to finish faster the trainer will add 10 burpees each minute to that athlete
