Lifehack- How to become a Maven What is a Maven?A trusted expert in a particular field, one who seeks to pass knowledge onto others. The word comes from Hebrew via Yiddish and means one who understands based on an accumulation of knowledge. Does that sound familiar? How do we learn skills in CrossFit? By constantly interacting with mavens! Without finding such ones that are proficient and skilled in multiple sports how can we become a balanced athlete in CrossFit? Or thinking even bigger, life? That's right we can't unless we constantly look to others to improve. Even without you thinking about it, you have slowly become a maven. Helping others in class everyday. Picking up tips from the CrossFit journal or watching a instructional video. We should not stop there though. We should strive to continue to expand our base of knowledge and continue test different ways of things and come with out own ways to help better ourselves and other we work with. One of the reasons CrossFit has come so far in such a small timeframe is because people that are constantly innovating and trying to improve. Each one of us when we walk into our Lab our box, we get to try to invent or make ourselves better. Let's give give it all we got! Happy Monday!
