28 It's almost time. Do you feel it? That's right, the CrossFit Games are about 2 days away!!! What are going to do? Start lifting heavy weights? Start working on your L-sits? Well, the truth is, if you haven't been working on those skills during the whole off season don't try to rush in and think you can learn everything before the Open begins. It's like when you see that guy on the beach doing crunches like somehow he's going to get those 6-pack abs in the next 10 minutes. It's not going to happen. CrossFit is always about progression. If you're intending to enter the Open or not, we are trying to have our bodies work more efficiently and more effective. That being said, it might take a few weeks, months or maybe even a year to get a certain skill down. Don't give up! We're working on so many techniques and it will take time but the by product being produced from all that hard work to reach your goal is increased- core stability, confidence, raw strength, increased stamina, that X-factor, shoulder stability, proprioception, eccentric contractions, talent and fun. Here at CrossFit Hagerstown (and really all CrossFit boxes worldwide), it is all about you. Making you a better person and helping you find your best. So as we start a new week at the box, let's get in there and work hard towards your goals and we'll continue to support you. Thank you to each and every one of our members who come in here day in and out and work hard and encourage one another. It's a great atmosphere in here and I'm happy I get to work with a great group of positive humans. See ya guys tomorrow!
Weak of Emphasis (WOE)- Wrist Range of Motion. Why? Because with decreased wrist range of motion (ROM) most people cannot perform a clean effectively which will decrease the total weight you could possibly hold in the rack position or move overhead in way of a split jerk or push press. 10 Minute AMRAP

* If the athlete fatigues and cannot perform racked position during lunges, the athlete must perform three more additional burpees in the same round.
