Weak of Emphasis (WOE)- Compound Movements

What are Compound Movements?  An action that requires multiple steps to complete.  For example:  A Thruster.  Front Squat + Push Press = Thruster.  Push-Up + Jump + awful = Burpee.  

Why do we have to work on compound movements!?!?  In life we have to perform compound movements constantly. When we workout we need to get stronger with action we perform on a day to day basis to make tasks easier.  Compound movements also show our glaring weakness in the part of the movement that we can identify and correct.
