At CrossFit Hagerstown we want to prepare everyone for any type of situation.  We might have to carry someone one day and the next you might have to hold a large piece of sheetrock in a awkward fashion for several seconds or minutes at a time.  How do we prepare for such activities where we have to keep a certain position?  By working on isometric holds!  

Def. Isometric- An activity performed in which the joint angle and muscle length do not change during contraction. The Greek word literally means "having equal measurements."  
Bottom Line- It looks like you’re not going anywhere.  



Active Warm- Up

Skill Work- Grip!

Strength-

• Clean & Jerk – 5 x 3+1
• Clean Pull – 4 x 3
• Back Squat – 5 x 5

Hand Stand Hold 20 Seconds/Pike Push-up position 20 seconds.

*If participate cannot hold hand stand position, athlete must perform 15 burpees after fatigue sets in.
