At CrossFit Hagerstown we want to prepare
everyone for any type of situation. We might have to carry someone one
day and the next you might have to hold a large piece of sheetrock in a awkward
fashion for several seconds or minutes at a time. How do we prepare for
such activities where we have to keep a certain position? By working on
isometric holds!
Def. Isometric- An
activity performed in which the joint angle and muscle length do not change
during contraction. The Greek word literally means "having equal
measurements."
